What is slime?

Slime is a stretchy, squishy, and colourful gooey toy that we can squeeze and play with. It comes in different textures, colours and even scents!

 

Is slime safe for kids?

Yes, most slimes are made from non-toxic ingredients. At Shiok Slime Corner, we are committed to providing high-quality, affordable slimes. We would recommend slime for children at least aged 7 and above. Always supervise young children during play and ensure they don't put slime in their mouths.

 

What are the ingredients in slime?

It usually contains glue, sodium borate, baking soda, sodium chloride, scented fragrance oils, glue and artificial colouring. Additional ingredients can also include add-ins like clay from Korea, Japan and China.

 

What are the benefits of playing with slime?

Playing with slime can help improve fine motor skills, provide sensory stimulation, and offer a fun way to relieve stress.

 

Can I make my own slime at home?

Yes, there are many DIY recipes available using common household ingredients like glue, baking soda, and contact lens solution. Just ensure the ingredients are safe and non-toxic. Let us know if you want us to bring in DIY slime kits in future!

 

What are the different types of slime?

There are mainly butter slime, clear slime, fluffy slime, water slime and crunchy slime, each offering a unique texture and play experience. There are also several unique slime textures offered by individual slime makers such as sand slime, jelly slime and cloud slime.

 

Can adults play with slime too?

Absolutely! Slime is great for stress relief and can be a fun and relaxing activity for all ages. In fact, I am also an adult who fell in love with slime-playing which led me to setting up this corner. :D
